On Tuesday 11th January 2005 more than 50 people gathered at Imperial College for a lecture on the Muslim Moonsighting.

Dr Usama Hasan presented a cross disciplinary package linking astrophysics, calendrical fiqh, social processes in the London Hilal Committee, Ummah politics and a hopeful proposal for an International Lunar Dateline that has recieved the 'theoretical backing' of the OIC.
