IMASE is a multidisciplinary platform that mobilises expertise, with an Islamic framework, for the benefit of humanity.

The imagination, intellect and skills of members are paramount to understanding and intervening in the world in a positive manner. Members include community activists, teachers, business people, researchers and many more.

Working across disciplinary, sectoral and organisational boundaries, we emphasise rigour, creativity and integrity in our approach.

Our motivation stems from a religious wisdom and purpose, human beings are God's vicegerents on Earth.,and share a great responsibility towards its well-being and future,

"Behold", your Lord said to the angels: "I will create a Vicegerent on earth."
They said, "Will You place therein one who will make mischief and shed blood, whilst we celebrate Your Praises and glorify Your Holy Name?"

God knew the capacity of man to do good as well as evil, and He decided to place this responsibility on the shoulders of each individual to prove himself or herself. We feel it important to reflect on our intentions and ask - are we as a knowledge based community only driven by our desire for status or money, or do we carry a greater, more noble purpose?
